Nestled in the picturesque town of Moose, Wyoming, just outside of Jackson Hole, our stay at this charming hotel was an experience to remember. The accommodations were unique, offering a stay in a cozy and inviting tiny house. The highlight of the interior was an incredibly comfy couch that proved to be the perfect spot for relaxation after a day of exploring.
While the absence of air conditioning caught our attention, the management had thoughtfully provided two fans that ensured a cool and comfortable ambiance throughout our stay. Admittedly, the refrigerator in our tiny abode wasn't operational, which did pose a minor inconvenience.
Yet, despite these small hiccups, the undeniable appeal of the accommodations lay in their cute and compact size. This intimate setting enhanced the overall experience, making us feel truly connected with the beautiful surroundings. The location, in close proximity to Jackson Hole, further added to the convenience of our stay.
In conclusion, our time at this unique hotel in Moose, Wyoming was characterized by the cozy charm of the tiny house, the embrace of the comfortable couch, and the resourceful use of fans. While the refrigerator issue was a drawback, the allure of the intimate setting and the picturesque location more than made up for it, leaving us with fond memories of our stay.
The Good: Large camping lots. Campfires were allowed and seemed like a relaxed campground. Showers were clean and newer. Guy at the desk was helpful and friendly.
The bad: It seemed like the campground was bordering private property and homes. So that’s kinda weird for camping. But it was a nice campground nonetheless.
The ugly: the price. I guess the good thing is that the price will keep a lot of problems out but it is just so expensive. Also don’t go to The Aspens market unless you have more money than brains. Smiths (Kroger) is affordable and a short drive away.
Fireside Resort was the perfect stay while visiting the Tetons. A short 5-10 minute drive from Jackson it's the perfect stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We stayed on the cabin side of the resort. The cabins were very cute and well maintained. The only issue we ran into was parking. We had a long truck and we barely fit in the designated parking spot next to our cabin. The staff was able to accommodate us with a bigger spot located next to a different cabin but they were not busy at the time of our stay at the end of April beginning of May. Prices were pretty cheap at this time as well as they were just coming off of the winter season. Did I mention they are dog friendly! There are also several restaurants in walking distance from the resort. It was a beautiful stay tucked away in Wilson Wyoming at Fireside Resort. My one tip is to check for road closures even during the summer. Moose-Wilson Rd. was closed for construction during our stay so we drove through Jackson to access the National park. If the road is closed just plan some extra travel time into your day to get to the park.
It was awesome! I would stay away from the hot tub! My brother was the only one that got in and he has lost 3 weeks of work and is still suffering from the chemicals that weren’t right. I worry because there was a dad and little boy that also used it and I wonder how they’re doing. The resort was amazing and they had everything
The draw of this property is definitely the pictures of the cabins on their website. Upclose the cabins are nice, but definitely not worth the hype.
The RV camp ground offers full hookups. The spaces are close together, and we can get a slide out open.
This place is amazing. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins but had a fantastic firepit and quiet location. Bed and sleeper sofa were so comfortable (could see the stars from our bed). Shower was top notch. All the little details were thought of an included-Firewood for the firepit with kindling and starter. A moose on the bed, hairdryer, wine opener, great dishes and dishwasher soap. Maintenance was prompt when an unexpected cold spell came in and we wanted the fireplace turned on for a cozy day inside. Couldn't say enough about the staff and their willingness to help. Also- The group showers and toilets by the RV park felt private and clean. Would recommend this place to anyone coming to Grand Teton Park and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Meh -sums up the stay best.
During our 6 week travels, this was one of the 14 places we stayed at. I'll recognize the fact that you're outside of Jackson - which will drive your prices up; however, across all of SD, ND, MT, WY, ID and MN - this was by far the most expensive place. When you travel with your own bed (camper), and all you need is a place to park - it's insane how expensive this place was.
Site was okay, very tight, but okay. We put our slides and awning out - just fine. Our neighbors were right next to us, when we had our fire - which due to closeness made me somewhat worried.
When traveling with 3 littles (2, 5 and 6 y/o) - I learned quickly that it wasn't power or water that was important to them - it was playgrounds and campground activities. This place lacked in both - which would mean the kiddos would rate this stay a 1 out of 5.
I'd also note that when quoted your price, be sure to review the entire receipt, as you're charged a resort fee. Entering the campground/resort - it was beautiful and the condos/cabins are cute. The facility is nice. By far - the most expensive wood ($10/bundle....which, mind you is 4-5 pieces of wood), most expensive site, and most expensive laundry facility throughout our travels.
Very nice spot for RV camping.
Convient to all Jackson Hole area activities. Quiet spot with the best shower setup I have ever seen at a camp ground. We will be back, soon I hope.
